This is a place you can be honest about life, find encouragement from God's Word, and get practical advice to keep your mind, body, and soul healthy.
There aren't many places where we can be real about our faith and struggles.
My heart longed for a safe place where biblical truth, psychology, and science work together to help us live healthy. Where Jesus followers can have honest conversations about hard topics like: grief, trauma, addiction, marriage & family, mental & physical health, and ministry.
A God Found Mess was created to share encouragement full of biblical truth and lifestyle tips to help us stay well emotionally, physically, and spiritually; no matter what life circumstances we're facing. Life is a beautiful journey, and together we can heal, grow, and stay rooted in Jesus in this messy world.
THE HEART OF MY JOURNEY
At age 19, the traumatic loss of a loved one rocked my world. My mind, body, and soul were devastated. Trying to survive, I looked for help in the wrong places. Unhealthy relationships. Alcohol. The worldly practices of self help, and "do what makes you happy" only made me miserable.
When I hit rock bottom, I turned to God. I was introduced to the biblical and mental health realities of trauma. Turns out God has a ton of truth to help us heal! Once I learned these principles and put them into practice in my everyday life, I couldn't wait to share the hope with others.
For the past 20 years I've studied and worked as a counselor with people overcoming trials and traumas. And I've survived a few of my own. My own experience, and degrees in mental health and theology influence what I write, share, and speak.
A GOD FOUND MESS is a place where I can share with you God's Word, my favorite lifestyle tips for a healthy mind, body, and soul, and you can be a part of a community that loves Jesus!
Life may be messy, but with hope, honesty, and a willingness to grow, this world is a beautiful and miraculous place. My prayer is that you will be inspired to be real with yourself, God, and others so that His promises become a reality in your daily life. No matter how messy it may be.
